I was standing waiting for the bus this evening when I noticed that the woman standing next to me had the kanji for "dog" tattooed on her ankle. Now I wonder if:

a) This woman really likes her dog,
b) She fell out with her tattoo artist, or
c) She picked the kanji at random because she thought it looked cool?

Bizarre.

I spent too long debating with myself whether it would be polite to or not. By that time, she had been whisked away by her girlie friends, presumably for a night on the tiles. Oops.

Hmmm... After having slept on the matter, I think a more rational answer would be that it's the year of the Chinese zodiac she was born under. Still, I like option b) better.

Well, I was born in the year of the dog (1982) so it may well have been that.
